2020 Kia Carnival and Sorento recalled in Australia with fire risk

2 min read

A manufacturing defect could cause a vehicle fire, according to the manufacturer.

The affected vehicles are stamped Model Year 2020.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing defect, a fuel leak may occur from the low-pressure fuel line hose clamp. If a fuel leak occurs, this may result in an engine compartment fire.

“A vehicle fire may increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
